On November 24th, a very rainy day, we went to the Botanic Gardens.
In the Botanic Gardens they like the plants to feel like they are in their own habitat. That’s why they put the cacti in the hot green house.
The only rainforest in Ireland is in the Botanic Gardens. The glasshouse was very warm and had a gigantic banana tree. My Favourite plant was the Venus Fly Trap which eats insects but can only open and close seven times in its life.
On the trip we also saw a sunflower. Did you know that the sunflower represents Ukraine? It was a very interesting day. I am grateful to the teachers for bringing us.
