Our math’s eyes and math’s brains were in full use last week in all classroom competing in quizzes and puzzles. Math’s jokes and riddles adorned the walls.

1st class used a balance scales to weigh and measure equal amounts and 2nd class played numbershark (when the rain stops we hope to do a numbers treasure hunt),3rd and 4th classes had number treasure hunt trails in the yard-fastest, correct winners won a prize!

Senior Infants visited Iveagh Gardens to find and count items of nature, whilst Junior Infants learned shapes and grouping as the weather was too wet to visit the park. 5th Class focused on angles and shapes in movement. They set up a class economy where the girls established their own business and are learning about investment, profit and loss.
