On Thursday 25th May, a group of girls from 5th and 6th class went to UCD Athletics track to partake in the Cumann na mBunscol Athletics competition. It was a very enjoyable day out in the sun and Miss. Timmins and Ms. Weafer were very proud of how well the girls performed and how enthusiastically they cheered each other on in their events.
Both U12 and U14 sprinters reached their respective finals, our long-jumper came 4th and the U12 relay team just missed out on a place in the final. All was not lost however, as Cate pipped another girl at the post to claim 3rd place in the 600m race. To top the day off, our U14 relay team, having comfortably securing their place in the final, went on to win gold! The cherry on top of an already wonderful day. Well done to all involved.
