As part of World Book Day, Trish Hennessy from Usborne Books came to the school on Wednesday 25th February.

Trish did some storytelling from Junior Infants to 2nd Class.  The Junior and Senior Infants enjoyed listening to "The Dinosaur Who Lost His Roar" by Russell Punter.  It was a very interactive and engaging story and all the children could be heard taking part!!!

1st and 2nd Classes enjoyed listening to "The Golden Carpet" by Mairi Machinnon.  There was lots of conversation about this story, a delightful retelling of a traditional folktale from Armenia.

3rd to 6th Class girls had the opportunity to use their World Book Day tokens at the Usborne book fair, which was a great success.
