6th Class have had a very busy week!
We were delighted to welcome psychologists from ‘Motus Learning’ to educate us about our mental health and wellbeing.
Chris, Amy and Simon taught us how to deal with difficult life situations and talk about our emotions. We learned about the seven steps to Emotional Intelligence: Social Skills, Empathy, Resilience, My Brain, Well being, My Emotions and What are Emotions?
These help us manage thoughts, develop friendships, enhance social skills and deal with disappointment.
We had three fabulous interactive workshops, taking part in games, role play, discussions and creative art work.
We now feel more equipped to face the challenges that lie ahead as we move into secondary school in September!
