3rd Class
Wednesday, April 10, 2019 (All day)

On Tuesday, 3rd class had a visit from Bo Kyeong and Ashling from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea. The girls were shown a short presentation about Korean culture. The were shown where Korea is on the map of the world. They were told about the language, food and traditional dress-the Hanbok. Bo Kyeong was wearing her Hanbok and brought in four for the children to try on.

Bo Kyeong also explained the meaning of the flag. The class were all given flags to colour in. Each child received a Korean flag and a small metal badge with the Irish and Korean flag. The school were also given a gift of a beautiful globe. The visit was a great success and the children are now all keen to visit South Korea!
